If today around 70% of the content people consume online, whether they are men or women, is pornographic in nature — whether soft porn, erotic, or explicit — then it's pretty clear that this is what a huge number of people want and actively look for. The rest is just talk.
Even at the dawn of modern technology, how could video games possibly avoid exploring sexual themes? We've decided to look back at five erotic video games from the '90s that virtually every teenager of that generation secretly played at least once.
#1 Strip Poker

Almost everyone played one of those early computer strip poker games on the good old, timeless Commodore 64. Its graphics were about as sophisticated as a digital alarm clock, but despite its technical limitations, the concept worked surprisingly well.
When this little game first appeared, no one could have predicted just how successful it would become. The concept couldn't have been simpler: you played poker against a virtual woman, and every time you won, she removed another piece of clothing. Simple, but incredibly effective — so much so that the original was followed by numerous other versions.

From the early black-and-white versions to the later color editions, the concept kept evolving. There were versions featuring men aimed at a gay audience, and eventually even a version featuring Samantha Fox.

#2 Pocket Gal

Much tamer than Strip Poker, but still very successful, Pocket Gal took a similar concept and combined it with a game of pool. You chose an attractive female opponent and, if you won the match, she would gradually remove her clothes until she was left in lingerie.
A more explicit version was also released that featured full nudity, although, to be completely honest, we can no longer remember the name of that particular game.
#3 Gals Panic

In the '90s, a particular type of arcade game became extremely popular. You had to draw lines across the screen to capture sections of the playing area while avoiding enemies until most of the screen had been cleared. The original concept came from a game called Qix. Now add the fact that every completed section gradually reveals an image of a naked woman in the background, and you get Gals Panic.
#4 Lula the Sexy Empire
Without a doubt, this was my favorite. Not only because of the gameplay and the original concept, but also because it actually had a storyline — and, of course, because of the undeniable appeal of the game's virtual protagonist.
The story follows Lula, an aspiring model who is rejected by the Los Angeles studios and ends up stranded in a remote town with no money and very few prospects.

At the beginning of the game, Lula uses compromising encounters with unsuspecting patrons of a seedy bar to obtain photographs she can use to blackmail them. From there, she moves into the adult-film business and gradually builds her own empire, with the ultimate goal of dominating the porn industry.
#5 Leisure Suite Larry

Sierra was one of the best-known video game developers of its era, and with adult-themed games becoming increasingly popular, the company entered the genre in its own clever and humorous way. The result was Leisure Suit Larry, an adult-oriented adventure game in which the protagonist explored different locations using classic point-and-click mechanics, solving puzzles while pursuing his rather ambitious goal of seducing as many women as possible.
The game wasn't particularly easy, but its humor, puzzles, and adult themes made it enormously successful and eventually turned Leisure Suit Larry into a long-running series.
